When I visited Las Vegas for the first time I was stunned by its “boiling” life, literally boiling temperatures and lights, thousands and thousands of neon lights! They were everywhere, moving, sparkling and changing their colors. For me, they were the embodiment of fun and festivity that Vegas is known for; lots of times this is something our wardrobe lacks. That’s why I was so excited when last year the fashion world welcomed the whole neon trend. And I am even more excited that now it is stronger than ever!

It is actually difficult to name a brand or a store that doesn’t offer neon. Acid yellow, lime, pink and orange bled over from shirts and dresses on to shoes, handbags and even jewelry. Monochromatic looks or color blocking are the ways to do neon in clothing. In case you are not into too bright of an outfit go with fun neon jewelry or cool neon heels that will add some spunk to your casual ensemble.

While black and gold is a very obvious duo for the holiday season it also fits great into Spring! But this time the bold combo is executed not just in separate monochromatic pieces but mostly in collaboration – prints, embroidery and embellishments. Now heavily decorated shirts and jackets are not only for a night-out they also take a solid spot in a casual wardrobe. Paired with jeans or even shorts and a simple tee they complete a casual ensemble making it chic and adding edge. And of course black and gold will be always the ultimate way to do an evening look no matter where you go – a nice restaurant or a club.

Black and gold accessories are very much classic while also sexy and bold. Over-the-top jewelry, embellished shoes and handbags with gold hardware are some of the best ways to create some “drama” even in a simple outfit.

Already for many years I always have at least one pair of silver shoes in my closet and probably always will. I reach out for them wanting to add some extra sheen to my look, when can’t find or simply don’t have that right pair for the outfit or heading for a walk with my dog or quick run to grocery store. And my silver shoes never let me down. Conveniently they are one of the hottest trends of this season.

Considering that metallics are neutral you can pair your silver shoes pretty much with any outfit. Color palette is not so important in this case, but make sure that styling is in the same line (even those magic things won’t work with sweats). Don’t think I am being cheesy but I really can’t imagine myself without a pair of silver shoes, so versatile but stylish and edgy they are an absolute necessity in every closet.
