Though the maxi trend is always present I have been ignoring it for at least the last five years. I went from wearing super long skirts and dresses a lot to not wearing them at all and truthfully wasn’t missing them too much. But this season, even I couldn’t resist the feverish buzz around maxi's.

Summer would be incomprehensible without colorful dresses and flowy skirts and this particular season is not complete without long ones too. Feminine and chic maxis are really easy to style, very comfortable and extremely versatile. Pair them with a flat sandal and an over-sized hobo for brunch with friends or going shopping and with a strappy heel and clutch for a dressier look. If it’s a bit cold outside, throw on a jean jacket or a warm little shrug (long chunky cardigans won’t work and will look sloppy).
