Go gold - go bold!

What an amazing Women’s Day I had on this March 8th! Though in the US nobody celebrates it, my husband Carey really tried to make that day very special like if I was in my homeland Russia. And this post is very much inspired by his present, a Roberto Cavalli Cleopatra watch in gold. So beautiful and chic it is not just a timepiece but also jewelry. The design of the bracelet with every single detail thoroughly thought through is just amazing! And though all color ways of this style look great, the gold one really stands out. No surprise that this precious metal has been one of the top designer inspirations for decades; this season is no exception.

Using gold accessories is a great way to bring more character and finesse to your outfit. Big bold jewelry, gold shoes and handbags are best friends to a Fashionista. Can’t say that moderation is what we should remember playing around with such pieces, today the more –the better; but for that same reason it is very easy to cross that fine line between stylish and tacky. My advice is to pick that one main focal point in your look (like lots of gold jewelry or gold shoes with gold lurex hosieries) and then work around it.

Interesting fact:
Gold is perfect for use in coins and jewelry as it does not react with air or water like many other metals.
